There are many opportunities we have in life, to impact the life of another. From the simple interaction with someone who is ill, to donations of grand proportions, that establish wings in hospitals, to care for the weakest among us. When asked to recall what I have done, I am at a loss. Although over the years I have donated to the St. Jude's Dream home project every year with a $100 donation. Yeah, I am not seriously thinking that I will win a house, but it gives me the opportunity to make a donation. Some see video gaming as time thrown away.
For me, coping is the reason I play,
To remember a loved one who couldn't stay,
A father who passed on one August day.
Gaming was how we bonded, our quality time;
He would see me stopping as a crime.
I play for remembrance, pride, comfort and him.
It was a long time ago
But I still remember it
There was a friend at work
His name was Dick Potter
He was a good man
And A good friend
One day he had a tumor
He did get rid of the tumor
But he got cancer
It was eating him alive
He couldn't beat it
And he died
We went to his funeral
And we were sad
We all came together
With him
Because you don't really die
You go to another place
